About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in NE Portland's Kerns neighborhood. I provide mental health counseling services to address life stressors and support emotional well being. I work from a strengths based, relational perspective, help you to identify what is working in your life, what is not working and how to move forward, building on those strengths with compassion and empathy.
Prior to obtaining my MSW, I worked in the field of early childhood education, serving young children and their families. Unfortunately, my office is not set up to work directly with young children at this time, however I have a great deal of experience supporting parents in managing the challenges of raising children, including understanding child development and behavior while making room for self care. This includes experience with young parents.
With a background in international and cultural studies, as well as 10 years learning Spanish--including participation in study abroad programs--I am interested in addressing issues related to cross-cultural communication, acculturation, culture shock and other related concerns.
Other areas of interest include highly sensitive people, as well as understanding and coping with a loved one's mental illness.

Let's meet for half an hour to get to know each other and decide if we are a good fit. There is no obligation to schedule therapy sessions following the consultation.
50 minute therapy session $130
50 minute phone therapy session $130
If you are unable to pay the full fee, I do offer a sliding fee scale. We can discuss this further at your initial consultation.
This can be arranged on an as needed basis or as an on-going service. Initial consultation and first 3 sessions must be in person. Regularly scheduled in person sessions may be required.

Tri-Met buses 12 and 19 stop near the office.
The office is on the south side of Glisan, across the street from the Taoist Tai Chi Society, upstairs from the hair salon. There is a small parking lot in the back, though I recommend caution if you have a large vehicle. You will need a code to get into the building, which will be provided once an appointment has been scheduled.
Insurance
I am in the process of credentialing with insurance agencies. The agencies for which I have completed this process are listed below. If your insurance is not listed, I may be able to bill out of network.
